NERC's terrestrial and freshwater data centre - roughly 2,179 dataset records. Relevant holdings for geothermal siting: land cover maps, soil properties and thermal-relevant soil physical data, hydrology and groundwater-linked series, peat depth and extent, and countryside survey data.

Caveats

Data are ecological and hydrological, not subsurface thermal - useful for constraints (peat, soils, land cover) rather than resource. Many datasets need a click-through licence acceptance that breaks unattended download.
