What it contains

The Welsh national geospatial data portal and INSPIRE discovery catalogue. GeoNode front end over GeoServer, with a pycsw 2.6.0 CSW catalogue. Publishes Welsh Government, NRW, Cadw, local authority and third-party layers including geology, mine water heat, heat network priority areas, LiDAR and planning policy.

Harvest note
YES - best-in-class among the devolved catalogues. CSW GetRecords with outputSchema=gmd gives full ISO metadata; default maxRecords 20, so page it. note recorded in the machine_endpoint field: CSW at GeoNode REST at /api/v2/ GeoServer OWS at /geoserver/ows

Caveats

GeoNode layer names are inconsistent (geonode: vs inspire-nrw: prefixes) so the same dataset can appear twice across cycles. The GeoServer /ows host is robots-disallowed to automated agents even though the CSW is not - harvest metadata via CSW and fetch data via the per-layer download links. Bilingual (Welsh/English) metadata is not consistently populated.
