What it contains
NERC's atmospheric and Earth observation data centre - multi-petabyte holdings including the Met Office MIDAS surface station observations, UKCP18 and UKCP Local climate projections, HadUK-Grid gridded climate, CMIP archives and satellite EO. For a geothermal catalogue this is the source of air-temperature baselines, heating and cooling degree days, and climate projections that drive heat demand and heat pump performance.

Caveats
Registration and per-collection licence acceptance are needed for MIDAS and several UKCP products, which blocks anonymous harvest. Volumes are very large - subset server-side via OPeNDAP rather than mirroring.
